New Year’s Message 2026

Happy New Year! My heartfelt thanks to all of you for your wonderful support during the past year.

Our theme for 2026 is "Keep Moving Forward." We aim to reach new heights and grow even stronger this year. We are dedicated to doing our very best to deliver something special to everyone.

I look forward to another great year together with your continued support. May this year be filled with health and happiness for you all.

New Piece "A Dawning" – A Collaboration with niconomiel!

On December 28th, 2025, AccoDance had the honor of performing at the 1st Anniversary event of Acco Apace μ.

We performed our new collaborative piece, "A Dawning," created together with niconomiel, led by Mayu Uesugi. I am filled with excitement as I think about how this work will evolve and grow in the future.

I would be truly grateful if you could join us in witnessing the journey of this piece as it unfolds. Thank you all for your wonderful support!

ACCODANCE Showcase Winter 2026!

We are excited to announce that "ACCODANCE Showcase Winter 2026" will be held on Monday, January 12th, 2026 (National Holiday)!

Following the success of last year, we are currently in the middle of intensive rehearsals for our Choreography Workshop. As the culmination of four months of hard work, the workshop members will perform two original pieces. The program will also feature members of the AccoDance company and special guests in a one-hour contemporary dance showcase.

Every dancer is bringing their unique personality to the stage, and it is sure to be a passionate and powerful performance.

On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, AccoDance was honored to perform at "Creative Space 2025," a collaborative event hosted by the Modern Dance Association and the U Forum Museum in Kunitachi, Tokyo.

We presented our piece, "Nostalgia Tragedy," which explores the inner conflict of people haunted by the shadows of their past glory. Originally performed at KIITO in Kobe several years ago, the work was specially remade for the museum space. We were deeply moved by the many wonderful comments we received from the audience.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came to the venue, the staff of the Modern Dance Association, and all of you who continue to support our journey.

Restaging of "This is a story like Asena"

On Saturday, July 12th, 2025, the staged reading "This is a story like Asena" successfully came to a close!

It was a truly wonderful experience for me to take on the challenge of this new form of collaboration, working alongside talented actors and musicians.

As the only dancer in the project, I arrived at the performance day carrying a heavy sense of pressure. I was constantly haunted by the anxiety that my movement might be an "excessive effect" that interfered with the direction.

However, hearing the warm feedback from the audience—comments like "I was so moved!" and "It was fascinating!"—has gradually allowed me to feel that my contribution was meaningful. I am filled with nothing but gratitude.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to the venue, and to those who supported us from afar. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to Masako Oshita, the visionary behind this wonderful project, and to all my amazing fellow performers!
